The first installation in the gallery took place in December 1, 2017. It included works by TOC members Darryl Robinson, photographer and Vincent Stringer, painter; and a friend of TOC, painter, Gloria Mack.
Subsequent exhibitions included "Stream of Consciousness" featuring the works of Franklin Russell; "Meditations of Art and Space," featuring the oil paintings of Portia A. Smith; celebrated Morgan State University art professor, Eric Briscoe; Maryland Institute College of Art alum Akai Jones; and sculptures and paintings of the late renowned artist Roy Crosse.
Expressing ourselves through visual and performing arts is one way we creatively glorify God and edify the world. The Evelyn C. McLeod Memorial Art Gallery is once again making space for members and friends to share their creative expression with the congregation and community.
